Paws 09 WrapThe Mental Health Foundation’s Paws for a Cause at the Plaza 09 attracted thousands of participants to Albany’s Empire State Plaza. Dozens of presentations, demonstrations, exhibits by nationally recognized experts coupled with numerous vendors and other organizations provided an important message about the link between good mental health and the pets in our lives.
Once again a highlight of the event was an appearance by the Purina Incredible Dog Team who thrilled audiences with their gravity defying feats. Lisa Chelenza, host of Time Warner’s Pet Pointers helped emcee the event along with Foundation board member Howard Carr and volunteer Susan Leclair. Participants generously made a food drive for area animal shelters a huge success as well.
